Shadle Farm Video Diary

  1. Excellent video; well done! The house is lovely in its new colors. Your video brought back memories of interesting times at the hearth while cooking and lounging.

I once prepared a hearth-side meal for a large group from the Rocky Hill Historical Society. This was at a vacant 18th C house on Silas Deane Highway; a house very much like yours although a little later. As I recall, I prepared planked salmon, beef stew, and burdock root cooked in apple cider. Hard, hot work but great fun.

My best wishes to you both in your new enterprise at The Shadle Farm!
